Salou is one of the municipalities of Catalonia, Spain with one of the longest tourist seasons, starting in March and ending in November. There are several interesting and historical sights to visit such as Santa Maria del Mar Church, Torse Vella, and Monument Jaume I etc. Apart from these, there is an aquatic park, PortAventura with major attractions like Dragon Khan, Furious Baco, the Hurricane Condor etc.

A must for people of all ages is the PortAventura Theme Park. It was formerly part of the Universal Parks & resorts, theme park division of NBCUniversal, but this link was dropped in 2005. Capellans lies at the Eastern end of Salou so is within easy walking distance of hotels in the Carrer Vendrell area, Playa Park, Salou Park, Calypso, Oasis for example. It is also accessible, as are all Salou's beaches, via the Road Train or buses which link all of Salou.
